Payment Terms
1. Deposit Structure:
o 70% deposit upon quotation acceptance.
o 20% payment on installation date.
o 10% payable upon completion if Glas Meester handles installation.
o All Quotes less than R20000.00 must be paid in full.
2. Non-Contingent Payments: Payments are not contingent on external approvals or certificates unless agreed in writing.
3. Invoice Settlement: All invoices must be settled within three days; otherwise, work will cease until payment is made.
4. Contractual Details: No retention or penalties accepted. Final payment is due upon practical completion.
5. Late Payment Consequences: Late payments may result in contract cancellation or suspension of services, with interest charged at the prime lending rate +5%.
Cancellation and Ownership
1. Refund Policy: No refunds on deposits for cancellations or delays not caused by Glas Meester.
2. Ownership Retention: Glas Meester retains ownership of products until full payment is received.
Product Size and Preparation
1. Measurement Responsibility: Clients are responsible for aperture preparation, and sizes quoted are final.
2. Cancellation Policy: Once manufactured, orders cannot be cancelled or modified without incurring costs.
3. Liability for Error: Glas Meester accepts no liability for errors in quotations.
Scratches and Blemishes
1. Inspection Standards: Scratches and blemishes are assessed from three meters under normal lighting conditions.
2. Definitions: Scratches penetrate the surface, while blemishes affect the aesthetic appearance.
Manufacturing and Delivery
1. Lead Times: Standard items have a lead time of +/- 21 working days; special items may take longer.
2. Delivery Condition: Goods delivered with protection are deemed in good condition, with risk transferring upon delivery.
